Nii Travels is the ideal Ghana travel company to book whether you’re planning for a group of 4 or 40. Each experience was intentional and felt like a true reflection of Ghanian culture, while still supporting local business owners & communities. During our 10-day Detty December vacation we had the opportunity to participate in a naming ceremony, kosher cooking sessions, a visit to the slave castles of Elmina & Cape Coast, time at the former home of DuBois, hands-on with crafts like batik making, kente weaving & stamping andikra symbols; but that is only scraping the surface of our jam packed itinerary. A heritage photo shoot in our custom made dresses was the perfect culmination to our tour. AfroFuture also known as “Afrochella” was taking place for 2 nights where we grooved to Afro beats, reggae & soca by the beach, but it wasn’t even the main highlight of our time spent here. As you can tell this wasn’t your average girls trip! Nii listened to our interests and curated the trip of a lifetime! His level of professionalism was consistent from months before our trip to days following our return. I didn’t know what to expect, but this exceeded expectations as to how much we saw and did within 10 days time! His entire team & partners were top tier; our drivers were ALWAYS punctual and stayed close by, ready and attentive to get us safely to our next destination. Whenever our excursions carried us off the beaten path we never felt unsafe or in danger. Most of our trip was in and around Accra where we stayed but we spent a day in Kumasi, the second largest city, which required a brief flight. Our Airbnb was located a little ways out from the city, but that never deterred our guide or driver from being on time waiting for us. I don’t think we could have done half of the things we did without Nii’s knowledge & personal connections throughout the region! As situations or requests came up which, as they often do on international voyages, he was able to seamlessly pivot and cater to our needs. I would highly recommend Nii for your Ghana travels. I am thankful for the recommendation and happy to refer to anyone I know. He loves what he does and is going to deliver every time! If you plan on hitting the market, tipping or doing some local shopping be sure to carry plenty of US cash to convert!
